Apps people actually use, and the systems running underneath them. We build ours, and we do not hand them over.

Five systems so far. One of them is on the App Store and Google Play. All of it was built in Amman, and we still own every line of it.

Everything we build, we keep.

An agency builds something, hands it over and moves on. That is a fine business and it is not ours. We build systems we expect to still be running in five years, and knowing we will be the ones running them changes what we take on.

We partner on a project, never on the company. Nobody ends up holding a piece of the studio for working on one thing inside it. When the work is for someone else's business it goes out under Qimma, and they own the result outright.

How we work

Four things you can hold us to.

  1. We own what we build.

    Every system here has a NextMove repository behind it. If we cannot own the thing at the end of it, we do not take the work on.

  2. Partners work on projects.

    Terms get written down for the build in front of us, and they end when it does. Nobody ends up holding a piece of the studio because they worked on one thing inside it.

  3. We say what is not decided.

    Half of what we are working on is not settled. Those get called research on this site, and what we are still stuck on is printed underneath them instead of a feature list.

  4. We ship, or we say we have not.

    A product reaches an app store and real users, or it stays in research and gets described that way. We do not have a middle category where a demo quietly counts as a launch.

Five questions that arrive before any of the others.

What does NextMove actually do?
It builds software as its own products and keeps them. Two are running. Sparr is a martial arts app and the free front desk the gyms inside it run on. Raqib follows material across construction sites and flags what does not reconcile. A third, Arx, is a competitive hacking platform for security students, and it is still in internal testing. Two more are open questions, and the work page marks them as questions rather than dressing them up.
Will you build my website or my app?
Not under this name. Websites, storefronts and search work are sold by Qimma, which the studio owns. That is the door to come in through, and the link is at the foot of the work page.
Where is the studio?
Amman. Al Rayyan Commercial Complex, 3rd floor, opposite radio & television. Everything on this site was built there.
What languages do you work in?
English and Arabic. The products ship in both, with the Arabic written rather than run through a translator. This site is English only, because a marketing site that is half translated is worse than one language done properly.
Can I use something you have already built?
Sparr is on the App Store and on Google Play, and Sparr Hub costs a gym nothing to run on. Raqib is in a pilot on a contractor's job sites and is not on sale yet. Arx is in internal testing, and nobody outside the team can play it yet. Ask about any of them and you will be told where it actually is.

Working on something that has to last?

Tell us what it is. If we are the wrong people to build it, you will hear that quickly and for free.
